The Lindy Lou building, which had suffered from wet and dry rot and leaning timbers, had been restored by Royle and Stanley of Lewis Avenue, Heath Town. The photograph shows the work in progress, with corrugated sheeting surrounding the building.

Refurbishment of the building by Royle and Stanley ended up costing Wolverhampton Council more due to delays. Albert Downing is mentioned.
