Christopher’s dad, Nick, had put up an extensive Christmas lights display outside their home to raise money for the Walsall Rainbow House Children’s hospice appeal.

Originally born in Wheatley Road in Warley, Joyce was visiting Walsall from Australia to try and trace her sister, Evelyn Florence Hunter, who had lived with her at the Cottage Homes in Wednesfield until the age of 14.
