- Additional Information: Members of the Territorial Army helped an RAF detachment and workers from the local council to free nearly 30,000 Welsh people from the Ogmore Valley in mid-Glamorgan after roads were blocked by 12 foot snow drifts. The photograph shows Corporal Arthur Morrall from Bloxwich with an RAF contingent to clear the snow.
